The Providence Park Hospital and Medical Centers project involved the development of 106 acres of a 198 acre site with the remainder of the site containing woodlands and wetlands and a portion that will be developed in the future.  The development portion of the project was an existing hospital ADT.  The project was previously bisected by the east branch of the Shaw Creek, which is a regulated stream by the MDEQ.  HRC developed a hydraulic study involving FEMA, MDEQ, and the City for the Shaw Creek relocation and associated LOMR.  HRC was instrumental in the master planning of all aspects of the project, including the master woodlands and wetlands permits.  The Master Plan also included future phases of the project resulting in repetitive permit reviews and processing that would normally have to go through that process independently.  HRC also assisted in the site plan approval and design of all site infrastructure including water, sanitary, primary power, telephone, cable, parking lot lighting and a master storm management plan.  The hospital portion of the project consisted of a 7 story, 200 bed hospital expansion adjacent to the existing ADT.  HRC assisted with expedition of the phases, resulting in the hospital relocating 1,140 parking spaces prior to the beginning of the hospital expansion to maintain the functionality of the existing ADT.  This had to be completed prior to the beginning of construction of the hospital building itself.  The ultimate project created another 520 parking spaces, for 1,660 spaces to service the hospital's portion of the project.

The project also included the relocation of the existing emergency helistop during construction and installation of a new, permanent helistop which is part of the new hospital.  HRC assisted with Survival Flight and the FAA to determine the best location for the helistop with respect to the line of flight for the new hospital.

HRC planned and designed a central irrigation system supplied by an existing pond on-site serving the entire development.  This system allowed the development to save considerable irrigation costs by not having to purchase water from the City.

Survey Services
Performed a boundary survey for the 198 acre site.  Aerial mapping was performed for the entire site for which HRC provided the aerial control data.   A topographic survey was also completed for the entire site including the wetland and woodland areas.   Upon completion of the site design, the survey crew performed construction layout which included roads, sidewalks, structures, and utilities.
