Wonderland Mall Redevelopment
CIVIL ENGINEERING // Wonderland Mall Redevelopment

This Hubbell, Roth & Clark, Inc. (HRC) civil/site project consisted of the redevelopment of an existing 1,200,000 square foot enclosed shopping center that was demolished to accommodate a Target, Wal-Mart and open air retail space.  There is also a residual 10.83 acre piece that will be developed in the future.  HRC assisted in all phases of the development of the complex, including coordination of Wal-Mart, Target and the existing open air retail buildings on the site.

HRC developed a Stormwater Master Plan for this complex that included a portion of the stormwater management to be in a water detention feature along the frontage of the project, as requested by the Planning Commission.  As the site is an open air center, HRC developed a walking path system within the limits of the project for a pedestrian friendly shopping center.

During the construction of the project, access had to be maintained to an existing Target building on the site.  HRC developed demolition plans and implemented the operation of the existing Target building while the remainder of the shopping center was being developed.  The original Target building was later demolished for a future portion of the project.

HRC re-developed the parking lot lighting and underground 5 kV power distribution system for the site.
