HRC worked in cooperation
with McKenna Associates, Inc. and MDOT in developing a streetscape
design for the Village of Clarkston. Removal of existing
sidewalks and retaining walls preceded initial construction
in 2000. The overall design included approximately
14,000 sq. ft. of concrete sidewalk, 2,300 sq. ft. of brick
pavers, 2,000 face ft. of a boulder retaining wall, street
lighting, tree plantings, tree grates, benches and trash
receptacles. The project was funded by a TEA21 MDOT
grant and the Village of Clarkston's Downtown Development
Authority.
