ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING // Rochester DDA Christmas Lighting

HRC designed the temporary electrical service for the holiday lighting for the fronts of the buildings on four blocks of Main Street to enhance the shopping experience in Downtown Rochester.

The service was designed to power approximately 500,000 lights, giant snowflakes and a 30 foot tree.   Timers on each panel were set for 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM each evening for the month of December 2006.

The temporary service included fabrication, installation, and removal for 2006, 2007, and 2008.

In 2007, HRC redesigned the temporary electrical service to add another four blocks of lights to the "Big Bright Light Show" totaling more than one million L.E.D. lights.   A new wireless system was designed to activate the lights from a central location.

HRC also designed the temporary electrical service for the Kris Kringle Market and for Channel 7 TV's live production of the Rochester Hometown Christmas Parade.
