The project included
developing a comprehensive Stormwater Management Master
Plan for the City of Southfield. The plan integrated
environmentally sensitive and innovative storm water management
practices into the update of the current storm drainage
master plan for the 27-square mile community.
The project included:
- System inventory
and mapping.
- Watershed hydrologic
and hydraulic modeling and evaluation utilizing XP-SWMM.
- Update of drainage
district maps.
- Identification
of system maintenance and improvement requirements.
- Review of BMPs
and recommendations for implementation.
- Development and
implementation of public education program.
- Capital Project
Planning and Prioritization.
- Funding Evaluation
and Strategy Preparation.
- Coordination with
the Rouge Program Office.
- Development of
a comprehensive Storm Water Management Policy.
