HRC's first GIS project was done for Oakland County in 1990 on the Evergreen Farmington (E/F) Interceptor System. Intergraph Corporation's MGE software was used for this project. The E/F Interceptors were drawn on top of the MIRIS map with pipe distances and manhole ID's taken from the Oakland County Interceptor database. A database was given to us from Oakland County containing, manhole ID's, and distances. Database linkage were created resulting in maps containing GIS labels of distances, pipe sizes, and manhole ID's. The E/F layout was then used on other projects as listed below.
In 1993 the Inflow Metering Project was performed using the E/F layout from 1990 for Bloomfield Hills, Bloomfield Township, Farmington, Livonia, Southfield, Troy, and West Bloomfield. Metering district polygons were added on top of the MIRIS map with database linkages to the metering attributes that consisted of Anticipated Inflow and the Actual Metering Inflow. The drawings show metering districts polygon shading with locations of Permanent Meters, Temporary Meters, Rainfall Gages, Local Community Manhole Rehab, O.C.D.C. Interceptor Manhole Rehab, and the E/F Interceptor.
In 1997 the E/F Sewage Disposal System for Oakland County Interceptors and Manholes was located within the FEMA Flood Plains using the E/F layout from 1990. The flood plain polygons were added and analysis was performed for the manhole locations within a flood plain type. Also in 1997, Phase 1 Study Interceptor Network was performed using the E/F layout from 1990. The 1995 Census data was used to perform analysis on population within certain metering districts.
