Bloomfield Township Utility Conversion Project
GIS Bloomfield Twsp Utility Mapping

In 1999 HRC was contracted to perform a GIS project for the City of Rochester, MI.   This effort included adding over 20 attributes for the various sanitary, storm, and water utility pipes and structures located in the City.   The City utilities source data included well kept blue-line plans dating from as early as 1900.   Some as-built plans were also used, when available.   The project was started on a MicroStation CAD application with a database linkage to HRC's SQL Server.   The project has since been transferred to ArcInfo, and then to ArcView 3.x for the City's use.   During 2002-03, GIS project files were converted to the ArcGIS 8.x format and tables are being converted to the ESRI Geodatabase Utility Models as they become available.

HRC has also included the County parcel base map and ortho-rectified aerial photography.   The initial project was completed during the summer of 2000, and utility maintenance is being done on an on-going basis.
