HRC is responsible
for the design of a new bridge for Franklin Road over I-696,
new westbound I-696 exit ramp and new eastbound I-696 entrance
for Franklin Road, in addition to the replacement of the
Pernick Drain storm sewer under I-696 and the enclosure
and diversion of this drain for approximately 1,000 feet.
The project also includes reconstruction of over one mile
of local roads, storm sewer, traffic signals and traffic
maintenance plans for I-696 and all affected local roads.
Construction for this project commences in spring 2006.
HRC
also performed traffic studies and analysis of the existing
and proposed roadways and traffic patterns.

Right-of-Way/Easement
Acquisition
HRC actively obtained the complete property acquisitions
for this project. HRC staff coordinated the title
search activities with the ordering of the required Real
Estate appraisals. HRC's Survey Department prepared
all of the documents that were required, including the legal
descriptions of the takings, drawings and using the Road
Commission for Oakland County Real Estate actual conveyance
documents for 25 parcels which included all fee purchases
and easements.
