Project Description: The City of Rochester, Michigan has contracted for 0.96 mile of hot mix asphalt reconstruction, concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer, water main, sanitary sewer and permanent pavement markings on University Drive from the west city limits, easterly to Main Street (M-150), on Pine street from University Drive northerly to Paint Creek, on Wesley Avenue from Fourth Street, northerly to University Drive, and on Fourth Street from Wesley Avenue easterly to an alley.
Project Information
UNIVERSITY DRIVE RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT WILL BE CONSTRUCTED IN THREE (3) PHASES AS FOLLOWS:
PHASE I

Partial road closure, alternate route recommended. Construction in phase I will be from Great Oaks Boulevard to Ludlow Avenue which will be constructed this year (2007). All underground utilities and pavement work, including surface restoration shall be done on or before October 15, 2007. |
PHASE II
|
Partial road closure, alternate route recommended. Construction in phase II will be from Pine Street to Main Street (M-150), including Pine Street from University Drive north, thence, northeasterly in the city's parking lot to the storm sewer outfall, west of Paint Creek. The construction work commenced on April 22, 2008, three (3) weeks behind the original progress schedule due to the frost laws and open to traffic by July 23, 2008 and the surface restoration shall be completed on or before JULY 25, 2008.

PHASE III
|
Complete road closure, alternate route must be used. Construction in phase III will be from Ludlow Avenue to Pine Street including Wesley Street, from University Drive to Fourth Street, thence on Fourth Street east to an alley. The construction work shall commence immediately upon completion of phase II, and open to traffic by October 15, 2008. The entire work including surface restoration and punch list items shall be completed on or before November 1, 2008.
