The major construction work has been completed and the Parkway is fully open to traffic.  The contractor continues to address minor clean up items and will be installing new permanent traffic signs after July 5, 2010.  Isolated lane closures may occur during this time.  Thank you for your patience during construction and making this a successful project!

May 3rd through May 30th, 2010

The contractor will begin preparing the roadway for installation of the traffic shift of southbound vehicles onto the northbound side.  It is anticipated that the shift will occur on Thursday May 6. Once the traffic shift is in effect the speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph with only one lane of traffic maintained in each direction.  Please use caution when driving through the construction zone and leave room for truck traffic to navigate.  Informational signs will be posted at open driveways to direct traffic to all businesses.  During this phase of construction the southbound pavement of Silver Parkway will be repaired with the hope of resurfacing during the first week of June.

April 2, 2010 thru April 11, 2010

The contractor will be removing and replacing several of the driveways near Home Depot that were not completed last fall. During this time there will be single lane closures in select areas as the driveway work is complete and under drains are installed beneath the pavement. After the driveway work has been completed the contractor will begin preparing the roadway for installation of the traffic shift of northbound vehicles onto the southbound side. Once the traffic shift is in effect the speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph with only one lane of traffic maintained in each direction.

Week of November 23, 2009 thru Spring 2010

The first phase of the driveway removal and replacement has been completed with all of the drives being opened to traffic on Wednesday November 25, 2009.  The boulevard center islands have been removed and paved in a few areas to facilitate the traffic cross-overs that will be used next year during the road construction.  Damaged sprinkler systems will be repaired in the Spring 2010.  Traffic control barrels and signs will be removed and the road fully opened to traffic through the winter.  The contractor will return in the Spring of 2010 to install the traffic shift and begin road repair and resurfacing operations.  Your patience over the last few weeks has been greatly appreciated.

November 11th-18th 2009 - Update

The first phase of the driveway removal and replacement has been completed with several of the drives being opened to traffic daily.  As the approaches are re-opened the second phase removal and replacement will take place.  The boulevard center islands have been removed and paved in a few areas to facilitate the traffic cross-overs that will be used next year during the road construction.  The contractor is on schedule to have the driveway work completed prior to November 26, 2009 as long as the weather cooperates.
