Curt Christeson Honored with Prestigious Water Environment Federation Award

HRC principal and vice president Curt Christeson, P.E., has been honored with the prestigious Water Environment Federation's (WEF) 2004 Public Education Award - Individual Category.   Mr. Christeson is recognized for his efforts, as past Public Education Chair with the WEF member organization, the Michigan Water Environment Association (MWEA), for increasing public and industry awareness and education of the water quality field.   His efforts include teacher workshops, special exhibits, and promotional materials and projects, including an informative "Water People" video.

Mr. Christeson oversees water and wastewater projects for the firm and has been an active member of WEF for over 21 years.   WEF is a not-for-profit technical and educational organization which studies water quality issues and promotes innovative and advanced technologies on a global scale.   Mr. Christeson currently serves as past president of MWEA.

Mr. Christeson's efforts will be recognized at the 63rd WEF Awards Celebration to be held on October 5, 2004 in New Orleans, Louisiana at WEF's annual technical conference, where industry leaders will be honored for their contributions to improve water quality.   Mr. Christeson holds a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University and a master's degree in Environmental Health Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
