June 18, 2008

Keith McCormack was elected President of the Michigan Water Environment Association (MWEA) at the Annual Conference in Boyne Falls, Michigan. Mr. McCormack was chair of the Program Committee for the conference and responsible for organizing the 2-1/2 days of technical programs. This year's theme was "Practical Sustainability, Fresh Eyes, Fresh Ideas, Fresh Water." Full conference registrations were up 10% from last year and the number of vendors exhibiting was more than double the 2007 conference. Prior to this, Mr. McCormack served as chair of the MWEA Collection Systems Committee for two years. He also served as chair of the Water Environment Federation (WEF) Collection Systems Specialty Conference Committee in Portland, Oregon in 2007 and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2008.
Keith McCormack is the fourth employee to represent HRC as President of MWEA. Prior to Mr. McCormack were Curt Christeson, George Hubbell Jr. and George Hubbell Sr. HRC has long been committed to the principles and goals of MWEA with many of our employees serving on and chairing committees.
