Project FAQs:

Q:

Will I have access to my business / driveway / parking area?

A:

Yes.  The Contractor will maintain two-way traffic along Adelaide and North Road for the duration of the project.  However, the driveway approaches along Adelaide are scheduled to be removed and replaced along with some of the concrete curb and gutter lines.  During the time that the work is being done and curing time afterwards, access to the driveway / parking area will be temporarily unavailable.

Q:

Will the sidewalks be open during construction?

A:

Yes.  The majority of the sidewalk will remain open, but some isolated sidewalk repairs are proposed, as well as reconstruction of the ramps.  It is recommended that pedestrians find an alternate route during the duration of the project.  If you choose to use the sidewalk during construction, please be aware that it is a construction zone and be very careful.

Q:

Will emergency access be available at all times?

A:

Yes.

Q:

My sprinklers were damaged during construction.  Will they be fixed?

A:

If the Contractor causes damage to your sprinklers located in the right-of-way they will be repaired prior to lawn restoration.  To help the Contractor in this matter and minimize damages, we recommend that each property owner mark the location of their sprinkler line and heads along the frontage of their property.

Q:

Who do I contact if I have a question?

A:

If your question relates to a field matter, please contact the HRC on-site observer.  This contact information is provided as a tab on the right side of this page.  If your question is more of a policy or non-field matter, contact Les Bland at the City of Fenton or Mike Darga at HRC.

Q:

How often will this web site be updated?

A:

HRC intends to update information on this web site at certain milestones in the progress schedule (initial start-up, water main installation, placement of asphalt, completion of construction, etc.).  HRC will also be updating the site approximately every two weeks during times of regular construction operations.  During periods of inactivity, the updates will be less frequent.

Q:

How long will the project take to complete?

A:

A preliminary project schedule is included in a link on the right side of this page.  This preliminary project schedule was developed at the beginning on this project and is subject to change depending on field conditions and weather.  As part of the regular updates, HRC will provide information as to how the construction activities are following this preliminary project schedule.
